- 200g dark chocolate, chopped
- 250g butter, chopped
- 1/2 cup self-raising flour
- half cup simple flour
- 1/4 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1 half cups raw caster sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- three eggs
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- Chocolate curls, to beautify (optionally available)
- 300g darkish chocolate, chopped
- 3/4 cup thickened cream

- Preheat oven to 180u00b0C/one hundred sixtyu00b0C fan-pressured. Grease a 6cm-deep, 20cm (base) spherical cake pan. Line base and aspect with baking paper.
- Place chocolate and butter in a small saucepan over low warmness. Cook, stirring, for 10 mins or until melted. Set apart to cool.

- Meanwhile, make chocolate ganache: Place chocolate and cream in a saucepan over low warmness. Cook, stirring, for three to 4 mins or until clean. Cover. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until a spreadable consistency.
- Split cake in half. Place base of cake on serving plate. Spread over half the ganache. Sandwich with cake top. Spread pinnacle and facet of cake with ultimate ganache. Top with chocolate curls, if using. Stand for 10 mins or till ganache sets barely. Serve.
